Wii Memory Full and Dumping |

Many of you ask what "Wii Memory Full" and "Dumping Wii Memory" means when using the Wii Radio Player. Here is a brief explanation...
Wii Memory Full - By performing numerous tests with streaming music to the Nintendo Wii, we have discovered that at about 2 minutes of streaming a station the Wii memory fills up. By streaming, you are actually downloading a music file to your system. Since the Wii only has around 512 megabytes of internal flash memory, it can get full pretty quick...especially if you are running Wii Tabs and got other sites open.
To be on the safe side, the player detects the load at every 60 seconds or minute instead of every 2 minutes.
Dumping Wii Memory - Once the Wii memory becomes full, we have to dump it or clean it out. Previous players that we had on wiihear.com couldn't handle this and the result crashed or reloaded the browser, etc. Because of this problem, the stream was interrupted and wasn't very appealing to users.
So now, every 60 seconds, the application stops the stream, cleans the wii memory and then starts the stream once again automatically. This all happens so fast that it is hardly detectable to the human ear.
We hope that clears up any questions concerning the "Wii Memory Full" and "Dumping Wii Memory" terms.
